L’Acadie Vineyards

L’Acadie Vineyards is a certified organic and vegan winery distinguished for releasing the region’s first internationally awarded traditional method sparkling wines. Their organic wines reflect the unique ancient seabed terroir of their estate on the valley slopes in Gaspereau. The first Biocyclic Vegan winery and farm in North America.

L’Acadie Vineyards is owned by British Columbia winemaker Bruce Ewert and Pauline Scott, whose Nova Scotia roots run nine generations deep. Lured by the tremendous potential of Nova Scotia’s sparkling wines, the couple moved east and founded L’Acadie Vineyards. The ancient seabed that makes up the vineyard’s terroir on the slopes of Gaspereau Valley has rocky, well-drained, mineral-rich schist and sandstone soils that give their wines signature flavours of minerality and slight saline.

We farm our vineyards veganically to protect the enhanced terroir and its living soils, and also so that our kids and future generations can live in a healthier environment. We’re committed to terroir authenticity and product integrity, and we adore the boutique, ultra-premium, hands-on winemaking of our family business.
